Introducing Coverage Metrics, our latest feature designed to supercharge data governance efforts. This new capability provides a clear, at-a-glance view of the completion status of their data assets, including descriptions, governed tags, and contacts.
Coverage Metrics enables the data team to track progress toward their governance goals precisely and easily, ensuring data completeness and transparency. Available for search result categories. Soon available for databases, schemas, and domains.
Are you tired of repeatedly writing long, complex search queries you’ve painstakingly crafted? The Saved Searches feature helps catalog users be more productive by allowing them to save search queries and filters, thus saving time and effort. It also makes teamwork a breeze by sharing searches with colleagues. That way, everyone can use the same search queries, making collaboration smoother and more consistent.
Seeing the full picture of all assets within the data stack can be helpful for the data team, however, only a few people in the organization typically care about non-production assets. Data engineers can specify asset name patterns such as tmp, dev, and test, and Metaphor will automatically hide these assets from search listings and lineage graphs. The feature can be accessed from the Search Results options menu to easily hide or show Non-prod assets.
We are excited to share the ability for users to personalize their experience of using Metaphor. Based on their role selection, catalog users will only see asset categories that are relevant to them. To further reduce cognitive overload, we've updated the navigation for the Explore bar, Search results, and Technical details for Assets. Users can easily update their preferences through the Profile page.
In addition to the improved in-app experience, users will receive a sequence of Onboarding Emails over the period of a week that aims to educate and highlight important features of Metaphor.
