New Feature: Data Catalog built into MS Teams

Communication tools like Teams are where all your users are constantly talking about data, so we’ve bought the catalog experience into Teams. Users can add any item from the catalog into conversation threads within teams and let even non-technical users benefit from searching and discovering the catalog.

P.S. Does your company use Slack? We already support this experience in Slack.

New Feature: Common Column Descriptions

Have a lot of columns that show up in many tables across your data stack? This hotly anticipated feature saves time and effort for users who want to document once and propagate these column descriptions across their data environment.

New Feature: Custom Metadata

Need to document asset-level content that’s unique to your organization? You can use Custom Metadata to persist key-value pairs of data that you can define. Customers typically store results of job runs, unique tags, etc after CI processes.

New Feature: Databricks Unity Catalog & AWS Glue Integration

Using Delta tables in Unity on Databricks? Or using the AWS Glue catalog? Metaphor now supports both these platforms out of the box.
