Customizable Domains

This month, we’re introducing four key updates to enhance your data catalog. These improvements are designed to boost efficiency, strengthen brand alignment, and provide a more user-friendly experience.

Customizable Data Content Ordering Data admins can reorder data product content to better meet user needs. This boosts discoverability, streamlines access, and enhances overall productivity by making data easier to find and use. 

Tailored Domain Branding Data admins can now enhance domain branding by customizing colors and iconography to align with their company’s brand. This new feature allows for a more cohesive and visually consistent experience, and a natural extension of your brand identity.

Streamlined Domain Management We've consolidated domain description, governed tags, and contacts into a single, easy-to-use modal. This unified management experience simplifies the process of adding and updating governance content, making it more efficient to maintain accurate and organized data domains.

Refreshed Domain UI We’ve given our domain UI a fresh, modern update to enhance your experience. The new design offers a cleaner look and feel, helping users focus on the most important information when interacting with their domains.

Group Management

We’ve updated our Notices UI to ensure that important data incidents or deprecation alerts are prominently displayed. These alerts are now front and center on any data asset page, search results, and Asset Hierarchy pages, keeping you informed and up-to-date at a glance.

Create & Manage Groups Data admins can easily create and manage teams within Metaphor. This feature extends the benefits of existing or new groups, streamlining the process of organizing users into the right teams for better collaboration and governance.

Sync Microsoft Entra ID Groups We’ve integrated with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) to streamline team management by automatically displaying existing teams within Metaphor. This reduces the need for duplicate effort, making it easier to manage and align teams across platforms. **OKTA coming in September!

Mention Groups in Posts All catalog users can mention groups directly in posts, ensuring everyone receives the appropriate updates and stays informed about the latest data changes. This enhancement helps keep teams aligned and ensures timely communication across your org.
